Our Program

Evidence-based program to help students achieve their personalized goals.

At Sassy Frassy, we believe that high school graduation isn’t the end goal, but the beginning of our students’ achievements. That’s why we’re committed to bringing our evidence-based life skills program to schools, churches, and organizations across Kentucky.
Bridging the gap between graduation requirements and college or career readiness.

Although about 90% of Kentucky’s high school students graduate on time, only 65% are considered prepared to enter college or the workforce. That number drops even lower for African-American (38%) and Hispanic (46%) students.

Empowering girls to lead, learn, serve and connect.

Aside from academics, Sassy Frassy’s structured program creates a foundation of character development, goal-setting, career planning, job readiness, civic responsibility and community involvement. Our adult mentors reinforce these program pillars by sharing their life experiences and creating positive adult relationships.

Customizable life skills enrichment.

Each Sassy Frassy program is customized to meet the unique needs of your school or organization. Our life skills enrichment can be year-long, semester-long, or even condensed to a summer program.

Mentor Program

Scholarship

Navigating high school and planning for the future isn’t easy–why do it alone? Sassy Frassy’s mentor program matches girls with positive adult role models from their community.

Our 1-on-1 mentor program complements Sassy Frassy’s life skills enrichment program. Mentors help students to determine goals, explore careers, develop vocational skills, and prepare for a future beyond high school through fun activities.

Mentorship is a unique opportunity to positively impact a girl’s life. If you are motivated to serve, request a mentor application.

There’s a lot of pressure when preparing for college, especially if you’re one of the first in your family to attend. We believe financial need shouldn’t add to those pressures.

With the help of our generous donors, Sassy Frassy provides annual and recurring scholarships of up to $5,000 to girls in Kentucky. Over the years, we’ve consistently provided financial assistance to help motivated girls reach their potential through higher education.

Each spring, high school seniors are invited to complete a scholarship application and personal essay. The top applicants are selected for an interview held at their high school. Our board members consider applicants’ GPA and community involvement in addition to their application, essay, and interview to determine scholarship recipients.
